On July 9th, Steven, Philip, Chris, and Christian set out on their first adventure into the beyond. Their first task: product pictures. After they finished the (not so) easy part of taking the pictures they had to photoshop them into perfection.

Quest 1, Completed.

Their next quest was acquired 2 days later on July 11th, model pictures. Having scouted for spots before hand, they set out for pictures with models in hand. After they finished, they, along with Kyle, photoshopped them and the rest of the product pictures to immaculateness.

After three more passes of the moon (July 14th) the party, with the exception of Evan and Danny, took more model pictures that were unfortunately not used. But their work was not in vain, they also took product pictures that were used.

Almost one month later, on August 6th (4 days before Kyle’s day of birth), Chris, Philip, Christian, and of course Steven, took more pictures of models and photoshopped them to the ultimate amazingness.

After a hiatus of over a month, on September 24th, Kyle, Philip, Chris, and Steven were called back into action and took more product pictures, photoshopped them, and rested.

The next day we had scheduled a commercial, but due to a model’s sickness we had to abort mission and reschedule.

On October 9th, our mission resumed. It took us all morning and part of the afternoon, but it ended in major success. Commercial completed.

Our mission came to a close as we took our last set of product pictures on October 19th. Chris and Steven photoshopped these.

Our pictures will be, and are being used for their website, reviews on Gizmodo and Gadget Review, and maybe even their packaging.

The way Grades are used is to measure someones intelligence. If so, then why do we have CST’s and SAT’s and ACT’s and the CAHSEE?

Sometimes grades do represent what someone has learned in that class, but what about when they don’t?

Every person is based on this one idea of what a brilliant person is; a paper pusher.

But what about the kids that aren’t a designated paper pusher? Those that can retain information without doing the homework or studying, their grades are low but the standardized testing scores are high.

Are you going to tell them “Bad dog” and smack them on the hand with a ruler because they’re drawing, or reading, or daydreaming?

The school system is conditioning students to turn off their creative side of themselves and basically become robotic.

Like the only reason that people have bodies is a mode of transportation for their heads to get to meetings.

The education system was created in the 18th + 19th century, during the time of the industrial revolution, back then public education was unheard of.

But back then they primarily used people as their machines in assembly lines, but now-a-days we have machines for the assembly line work.

People are now primarily used to fix those machines, invent better machines, and learn how to work the machines.

None of those three categories have any need of paper pushing, but more of creativity.

Think about it.

You can’t fix a machine by writing a paper about it, you have to learn what makes the thing work, what’s needed, what’s not needed, what it’s made out of, what it does, ect.

Yes you have to read the instructions on the thing, but when something with the machine goes haywire and the instructions don’t tell you exactly how to fix it do you toss the machine away and replace it or take creative liberty and fix it?

You can’t invent something without thinking outside the box . If everyone was a scholar and wrote 8 pages on why jack and jill went up the hill, nothing we have today would be here.

No computers, no internet, no e-mail, no telephone, no television, no vacuum.

Same goes with working them, if something goes wrong you don’t give up and walk away, you find a way around it. You think outside the box.

Are you going to deny these people a college education?

Would you deny Albert Einstein?

How about before he became famous? He failed classes.

According to how the world works now he’d be considered below average.

The 21st century is not an assembly line century, it’s the century of advancement (i.e. iPhone, Android, touch devices, 3D movies). And to improve you can’t be the norm, you have to think outside the box.

These first 3 weeks have been the most hectic weeks of my life, and I’m loving every minute of it.

I won’t miss it.

The Video team is going to be swamped this year, the jobs page will probably be full, and I have to record cheer leading all year. ~shutters~
